Introducing The Brewery, an innovative training programme for English-speaking graduates looking for a career as a global lawyer.

The Brewery is a full-time, six-month intensive training and development programme where you’ll develop all the skills that are essential in practice—from writing and presentation skills to drafting contracts and negotiating.

At the end of the programme, The Brewery junior associates will join one of our English-speaking practice groups with a rotation to another practice group after 1.5 years.

The Brewery is inspired by De Brauwerij, our ground-breaking training programme for Dutch law graduates. We introduced our unique De Brauwerij training programme more than 10 years ago. More than 300 associates have gone through this programme that jump-started their legal careers, broadened their horizons, and created lasting friendships. The Brewery junior associates, just like De Brauwerij junior associates, are eligible for a fixed 3.5-year contract and have the opportunity to transition to senior associate and partner after that.

Here’s a chance to get to know three of our associates from The Brewery a bit better. Yes, they come from all corners of the world. True, their interests are broad and varied. Still, we think you’ll find they also have a lot in common. They share a passion for law,
a quest for excellence, and an unending drive to be the best that they can be.

Amsterdam is the ultimate global village and the cultural and design hub of the Netherlands. There really is something for everyone. So if you’re new to the city, hop on a bike and take it all in. Visit neighbourhood outdoor markets and have a bit of lunch along a canal. Into culture? There are museums galore (almost 100 actually) and music venues for every taste. It’s also home to many thriving multinational corporations and world-class business consultancies.

If you’re a high performer with a master’s degree in law from an English-language programme with less than two years’ work experience in the field, we’d like to hear from you.

To apply, please be sure to upload the following before 8 October 2018:

  • A letter of motivation (maximum one side of an A4) in English
